When do you plan to visit us?

Cheshire's

Largest
commercial
vineyard

Take a stroll around the grounds of Carden Park during your visit and you will come across the three acre onsite vineyard.

The vineyard at Carden Park is well known as Cheshire’s largest commercial vineyard. Its story dates back to 1988 when the majority of vines were planted. In 2008 the‚ 4,000 vines were reinstated at the estate and much care was taken to grow them to their former glory.

Carden Park Estate Reserve Sparkling Wine won Silver in the Independent English Wine Awards 2024.

About our

Scenic vineyard

After lots of hard work and much nurturing, the three acre Cheshire vineyard  is able to produce up to 10,000 bottles of Carden Park Estate Reserve sparkling wine each year from the two grape varieties grown, Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir.

Each year, in October or early November, the grapes are harvested by our estates team. Working with HalfPenny Green winemakers of South Staffordshire, the grapes are then put through a fermentation process to produce the bottles of Carden Park Estate Reserve.

If you would like to try a glass of Carden Park Estate Reserve sparkling wine, it is available throughout the hotel restaurants and bars. Alternatively, bottles are available to purchase and take home as a souvenir.

In 2021, our fine dining restaurant opened its doors, inheriting the name ‘The Vines’, inspired by our vineyard. As well as the unforgettable cuisine prepared by our award-winning chefs, you will have the opportunity to sample an incredible selection of wines, including our Carden Estate Reserve, during your dining experience at The Vines.

Tasting Notes

Carden Park Brut is a perfect example of modern English winemaking. On the nose the wine presents stone fruits, apple and pear, as well as complex brioche and yeast aromas. On the palate we have lively perlage and vivid acidity, finished with a touch of beautiful minerality which is a perfect palate cleanser.
